WLGC Membership Policies & By-laws

Membership Policies

  1. New Members who wish to skip the “one-year Associate Membership requirement” prior to making Regular Membership application, may seek the support of two Board Members who support their immediate Regular Membership who will bring it to the full Board for their vote.
  2. Both members in Regular and Associate Family memberships are considered equal, but one member must be designated as the Primary Member.
  3. Spousal and Senior memberships have the rights and privileges of a Family Regular membership; however, they must turn in their regular membership certificate and shall not share equally in the division of assets of the Club remaining after payment of all debts and liabilities in the event of any liquidation, winding up or dissolution of the Club.
  4. If the Primary Family Regular member dies, the regular will be offered to the surviving spouse and if accepted, will be reissued in their name. The spouse may also choose to continue their full Regular membership as a Single Regular member. They may also choose Spousal membership or Senior membership if they qualify by age but would turn in their regular certificate and shall not share equally in the division of assets of the Club remaining after payment of all debts and liabilities in the event of any liquidation, winding up or dissolution of the Club.
  5. A Single Regular membership can move to Family Regular membership and vice versa.
  6. If a Single Regular member dies, their spouse is not eligible for Spousal membership.
  7. Spousal and Senior memberships retain Regular status with the privileges that accompany it but are required to relinquish their regular membership certificate and shall not share equally in the division of assets of the Club remaining after payment of all debts and liabilities in the event of any liquidation, winding up or dissolution of the Club. This would be retroactive to current Heritage, Spousal and Senior members.
