Junior Golf
We believe that golf is more than just a game, and that junior players can have fun not only learning the game, but take with them lessons for life. Our professional staff has created several excellent programs for juniors and if you have children or grandchildren, we encourage you to get them involved.
Learn to Golf Challenge
The Junior Golf Challenge is composed of eight levels. Upon completion of one level (for example, putting and chipping), your young golfer will take a fun challenge test and then proceed to the next level. Students learn and retain more through this proven method.
The cost is $50 per junior, per level. There are limited spots per session; check with the pro shop for available dates.
Junior Golf Clinics
A great way to introduce your junior to the game of golf. Topics covered include:
- Golf etiquette and rules
- Full swing instruction
- Short game play
- Playing on the course
This program consists of four sessions and will be offered in June, July, and August. Times are based on the age of your junior; check with the pro shop for dates. Minimum of five students.
The cost for these clinics is $39 per player
Junior Golf Tour
This six week program is designed for those juniors who have taken the junior golf clinic and are ready to advance to the next level: playing the course. Juniors will learn through practice range instruction and actual playing time on the course. Course management, speed of play, rules and etiquette are also emphasized.
The cost is $100 and will be held throughout the season. Contact the pro shop for times and dates.
High School Junior Golf Development
This high intensity training/playing program is designed for those juniors who are serious about the game and want to play in high school and college. Each junior will be required to play and practice on their own and record their scores and practice times.
The cost is $350 for a WLGC member, and $500 for a non-member. Juniors must be fourteen or older. The program begins in June and runs through August. Please call the pro-shop for more details and specifics.
