The Team

It takes team effort to keep club operations running smoothly.  We take great pride in giving our members a positive golf experience whether it’s in the pro-shop interacting with staff, on the range during a lesson with the pro, or on the beautifully maintained course and grounds.

Bill Borgman, Head PGA Professional

Bill graduated from Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing/professional golf, and has been a PGA professional since 1992.  His work experience includes the Orlando World Center in Orlando, Florida, the Elcona Country Club in Elkhart, Indiana, The Club Course at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, and Grand Haven Golf Club, Grand Haven, Michigan.

He started at White Lake Golf Club in 1995, and is truly a member of the White Lake Golf Club family.  He excels as a teacher of golf at all levels, as a tournament director, and he enjoys the challenges of running the day-to-day club house operation.  He operates and owns the pro-shop at the club, and offers the latest in golf equipment, apparel, and everyday supplies.

Bill was born and raised in Holland, Michigan, where most of his family lives today.  He moved to Whitehall with his wife Melissa, also from Holland, and their two daughters, Nikki and Brooke.

Savannah Silk

Savannah Silk

Savannah has been with the club for five years.  She works the desk, knows all the members by name, and greets them all with a smile.  She graduated from Whitehall High School in 2009 where she enjoyed playing on the girl’s golf team (she currently has a nine handicap), and on the basketball team.

Currently she is a full time student enrolled in classes at Muskegon Community College.  She plans to transfer to Grand Valley State University to pursue a biomedical science major with the eventual goal of obtaining a Doctorate in physical therapy.
